Martin Blank, General Manager of Servus TV says:
“The MotoGP is the most spectacular Motorsport series in the world and we are absolutely delighted that we can offer our viewers and all motorsport fans in Austria this global highlight. We are proud to be the partners of the MotoGP and guarantee live broadcasts in the top quality that viewers of ServusTV are accustomed to.”

Manel Arroyo, Managing Director, TV and Media Area at Dorna, declared:
“As Dorna we are very pleased and excited with this important agreement with ServusTV. It is, without doubt, a major step forward to improve the appeal and reach of MotoGP in Austria and strengthen the image of our sport in a country with so many fans. The fact that ServusTV will show the races of each category and go to the Grand Prix with their own team demonstrates the high degree of commitment to this new venture. Furthermore, the fact that MotoGP is again racing in Austria, in mid-August at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, reinforces the commitment of this broadcaster.”

The biggest highlight in the 2016 race calendar will be the return of the FIM MotoGP World Championship to Austria after a gap of 19 years. The Red Bull Ring at Spielberg will host the Grand Prix on the 14th of August. Blank elaborated, “this will be a phenomenal weekend. To have the Champions League of motorbike sports back in Austria after a long break is sensational.”

ServusTV is the only Austrian TV station to broadcast the series live over cable and satellite. ServusTV also holds the online and mobile rights for Austria. Fans can follow the race events via live stream at www.servustv.com/motogp and there will be numerous extra features like background information, statistics, and championship insights.

ServusTV will be on location with its own on-air team. Viewers can expect four hours of action packed motorsport with background information, features on the riders, as well as technical features of the sport and detailed analysis of the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3.
